UK Games Day 2013 : Pt I Forge World

So in the vast desert of my Hobby time an Oasis appeared on the horizon (probably the first and only time Birmingham has been described as such) and I was able to bask in it's bounty of 40k goodness.

That's right, I'm pleased to report that yours truly managed to successfully navigate Spaghetti Junction to attend this years UK Games Day; enabling me to top up my rather frayed Hobby Karma and continue what has been a very popular series of posts from the event, every year since this Blogs creation back in 2010.
I apologise that this first report is a day late, my Cogitator decided to roll over and play dead when I attempted a late night upload of my picture haul from the day; thus I'm sure many of you will have already seen most of what's on offer here.

Hopefully though I got a couple of snaps worthy of adding to the deluge of images flooding the Blogosphere and bringing the day to life for those that couldn't attend.

The posts this year will be a little ragged round the edges and again my apologies, Time unlike the 'Stones' song, is not on my side.

First up a picture heavy post of upcoming releases and works in progress from the undisputed Lords of Games Day, Forge World.

Kharybdis Assault Claw

'More than just a Drop Pod'
In action during the Battle of Phall

Anyone else hear the Imperial March?

Legion Basilisk

As it says right there!

Iron Hands Medusan Immortals

World Eaters Red Butchers

Mk II Standard
Mechanicus Myrmidon Destructors

Tech Thrall Adsecularis

And finally the Big surprise of the event
Lorgar

Hope you enjoyed the pictures, in Pt II I'll cover the Forge World seminar I attended.

Cheers Fran and very nice to know you're dropping by the Blog in it's current sloth like state.

Yes if I could only afford a fraction of the goodies on show *sigh*, my entry ticket was paid for with some carefully saved GW online gift vouchers and I came away with a £20 book (Space Marines: Angels of Death).

Truly a pauper in the palace of kings, what a difference a year and one baby makes! lol
